発売当時、クラブでこのアルバムからの選曲を聴かない日はなかった。
ぐらい、ロック、ダンス、ハウス、ヒップホップ、果てはトランス。
まで、当時のクラブというクラブでは毎晩耳に入ってきた。
僕も盤が擦り切れるまで擦ったし聴いた。
グラミーを受賞したprasie youや
グッチのショーでも使われたright here,right nowなど

話題満載のアルバムだったので売れないわけがない。
あまりに売れすぎて、後にスーパークラブとかセレブＤＪとか
悪しき実態を作ってしまった感も。
ま、良くも悪くもそれほど影響があったアルバムなので。是非。

　ビッグビート番長・ノーマンクックのFatboy Slim名義での出世作。
デジタル技術全開のダンスチューンだが、同時にアナログ的ロック感も
みなぎる名作。

　フロアでガンガン使えるのに、さらに部屋でのリスニングにも
耐えうる楽曲のクオリティの高さ。

この手のDJプレイが、ダンスフロアを飛び出して巷に流れてきた
(他の方が記しているようにNISSANのCMに使われたり)事がある種快挙で、
このアルバムが持っている力量の現れだと思っています。

ただ私も、音源の構成の面白さに浮かれて聞いていたら、
ビッグビートにやられて頭いたくなった一人。
もし一曲10分超で組まれたら、ついていく自信ない(苦笑)
いわく、ウルサイけど楽しい、というのが全体的な感触です。

CMに使われた#1はもちろん、#2,#4,#6,#9辺りが、耳残りがいいです。
ダンス以外のイベントにも持って行って、こっそりBGMに流してやりたく
なりますな。
