ＭＣ５を語るときよくリアル・パンクと言う。パンクといえばピストルズだけど、このアルバムを聴くとピストルズはただ何かに反抗していただけだが、ＭＣ５は本気で怒っていて本気でアメリカをひっくり返そうとしていたことがわかる。だからリアル・パンクなんだと思う。あとは最近の自称パンクス達がどんなＴＡＴＴＯＯ入れるかしか考えてなくてまったく中身が無いのもこういう言葉を生んだ原因だと思う。何かに反抗してるだけじゃガキでもできる。今までもこれからも世界一のバンドの、最も熱かった瞬間。

これを聴くたび、ただただヴォリュームを上げたくなる。MC5は気持ちをどこまでもハイに、ムチャクチャ盛り上げてくれる。圧倒的に荒々しいフィードバックノイズ、うねるグルーヴ。
＜５秒で決断せよ！５秒でなぜこの地球上でお前が存在しているのかに気付け！さあ、証言せよ！＞（アルバム冒頭部抜粋）
たしかに、これはたかだかロックンロールだ。だがこれは俺にとっては革命そのものだ。

1969年のデビューにしてライブアルバム。とても40年前の作品とは思えません。
騒乱、混沌、情熱、力･･･物凄い音圧であなた圧倒します。

もしヘッドフォンで聴くなら体調万全なときにしましょう。体力消耗します。
あなたが10代で不安を抱えているなら、この煌きを体験してください。
