スマッシング・パンプキンズの最高傑作「メロンコリーそして終わりのない悲しみ」、本当に素晴らしいアルバムだ。「Zero」のようなヘヴィーでかっこいい曲あり、思わず涙が出てしまいそうな美しい曲ありと、ビリーコーガンのヴォーカルは大きく揺れ動きながらもどこまでも魅力的だ。音楽がメロディーがここに存在する喜び、そんな世界で日々悩みながらも生きている人々たち、このアルバムで聴くことができるのはそういった喜びと優しさである。

「tonight,tonight」の僕を信じてくれという言葉はいつまでも心に残るだろう。

トゥナイト・トゥナイトが大好き!
ディスク1の1曲目から2曲目への流れ、ディスク2の最後の曲の終わり方などに感動する。曲順、アルバム全体の雰囲気などがとても良い(>_<)

　Billy Corganの創作意欲も、創作能力も衰えもせず、三作目、Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadnessは、二時間を超す、二枚組二十八曲入りのテーマ・アルバム。
　壮大な交響曲を思わせるその完成度を、前作からわずか二年の歳月で組み立てあげた、Billyの才能と復帰したSmashing Pumpkinsのオリジナル・メンバーとの組み合わせはまさに神がかり。
　このテーマ・アルバムのテーマはタイトル通り。メランコリーと無限の悲しみ。メランコリーとは憂鬱な状態を表す言葉だそうで、Smashing Pumpkinsに限らず、九十年代をリードしたアーティストのほとんどに共通するテーマを、今作では大々的に取り上げてきた。
　テーマ・アルバムは彼が元々好きなメタル、アート・ロックというジャンルで採用される事が多い、しかし、Billyの才能はそのオリジナルを真似する事でなく、一段も二段も昇華させ、Smashing Pumpkinsとしてのオリジナリティを生み出すところ。
　そんなBillyがやりたかった表現をたくさん詰め込んだこのアルバムはもちろん、前作に引けを取らない名盤。
