ギターポップの最高峰と思うし、ポップさとひねくれと毒が入り混じった初期のコンビレーションはＵ．Ｋニューウエーブ好きなら家庭に１枚！

この作品でモノクローム・セットを知った私は、本当に本当に幸福だった。彼らの怪しげな魅力が溢れんばかりに詰まった、宝石のような傑作。どれから手を付けようか迷っているなら、この作品から入るべき。乱暴に言えば、他の作品は聴く必要ないとすら思う。
基本的にラジオ番組のセッション集であり、演奏は英国(便宜上、そう定義する)のバンドとして当然ガタピシいっているが、それ自体が最高の味付けなのだ。むせ返るような怪しい雰囲気を放つ極上のポップス。最高に愛しい一枚だ。
