もはやエガチャンのテーマと化したスリル、
誰もが聴いたことのあるバンビーナ、
その他ドラマの主題歌にもなった曲など、
最も布袋さんらしく、ポップでロックで誰にで
も聴ける最高傑作曲が目白押しなベスト版CD。

最近の布袋さんは、曲においても私生活においても
ファンの者にとってはあまり満足のいかない結果を出しつつあるが、
いくら時が過ぎても、古き良き作品はやはりいつまでも、古き良き作品だ。

持っていて確実に損は無いと思われる。

シングルというのは、その時その時のアーティストの「名刺」みたいなもので、その都度方向性は当然変わる。それらをまとまりよく流れよくアルバムに収録すること自体、難しいことなのかもしれない。過去にいろんなアーティストのシングルコレクション的ベストアルバムを聴いてきたが、内容的に納得できるものは殆どなかった。その意味において本作は、まとまり流れともにパーフェクト！唯一「Ｄｅｊａ−ｖｕ」がオリジナルバージョンでない点が惜しい。多分オリジナルバージョンの希少価値を残すためだろうが…。個人的には「Ｄｅｊａ−ｖｕ」をオリジナルバージョンに、更に「さらば青春の光」をアルバムバージョンに差し替えたものをＭＤに落として、それをずっと聴いています。

私は布袋さんより氷室さん派(そんな派閥があるのか)で、今まであえて
布袋さんのアルバムを聴こうとはしませんでした。
でも、以前から"ラストシーン"が大好きで、よくカラオケで歌っていたので
布袋さんのアルバムを１枚位持っててもいいかな~という軽い気持ちで
購入して聴いてみたのですが・・・

や~ん最高！布袋さん、今までの私をお許し下さい・・・という感じ(笑)

１曲目の"スリル"でノリノリで始まったかと思えば、"ラストシーン"を初め、
バラードも数曲入っているしバラエティに富んでいて、全16曲布袋さん
の魅力満載の１枚です。

布袋さんファンの誰かが、彼は日本一のギタリストだ！と力説してましたが、
今ではふむふむ納得、という感じ(^-^)
