Let' Danceの蔭に隠れるようにあまり話題になりませんが、今聞くと結構いい感じで聞けます。
スケアリーモンスターズ好きな人にもいいんじゃないかと思うんですけど。
昔聞いたときはいまいちと思ったけど、70年代ボウイが好きな人には再認識して欲しいアルバムのような気がします。

他のレヴューを書かれた方でも、批判的な見識の方もいましたが、発売当時、私もボウイの７０年代の作品群を、聞きまくっていた時期でもあり、頭の固いボウイ、ファンにありがちな「レッツ・ダンス」「トゥナイト」「ネヴァー・レット・ミー・ダウン」をゴミ同然に見ていました。しかし、今聞いてみると「ラヴィング・ジ・エイリアン」は名曲です。「ブルー・ジーン」の曲、長編版ビデオも微笑ましいです。

後のインターヴューでボウイ自身も「この時期は自分自身、何の目的も無ければ、ヴィジョンも情熱も無かった…。例えば、髪型も衣装も、スタイリストが用意し、考えた物を、そのまま身に着けていた…。」

今思えば、何となく思い当たる節もある…。

余談ですが、このアルバムの収録曲に、イギー・ポップとの共作が多いのですが、この時期、イギー・ポップが経済的に窮地の状態にあり、後々、彼に印税が入るようにする為の、苦肉の策だったとか？…。

デビボ『Lets Dance』に続く当時流行のディスコナンバー並びまくりな売れ線狙いまくりアルバムっす！マブなフレンド、イギー・ポップ！と曲作ったり、ティナ・タ〜ナ〜とデュェった曲（デビボ史上モスト甘甘なバラハァ〜ド「Tonight」っす！）とかもあり豪華っすが、うぅ〜ん・・・『LOW』や『HEROES』のような、やった事ねぇの敢えて挑むぜ＆楽しむぜ感溢れまくりな７０年代後期の傑作群と比べるとロケンロゥなデビボの魅力乏しい感、俺ファンといえども否めねぇ〜ぇぇぃ・・・っすが、個別の曲はなかなかの佳曲揃いっす！腰振らされまくりなノリノリ〜の、いかにも８０S!なディスコム〜ドゥは悪くねっす！ディスコった曲以外でも、オープニングナンバー「Loving The Alien」の拡がりのありまくりなサウンドとか、タ〜ナァ〜とデュェった甘甘「Tonight」も悪くねぇっす！デビボ、サイコッ！YEAH!!
