ストイックで硬質なミニマルトラックを提供することで、ダンスミュージックのファンには既に知られた存在のMONOLAKEだが、今作はその延長上にある、徹底して静謐なサウンドスケープを披露している。まるで夜の砂丘を彷徨っているかのような、左右から聞こえる音の断片、空間処理は、コンピューターソフトのプログラミングまで自分達でこなす彼等の正に「職人技」。エレクトロニカ好きはもちろん、BRIAN ENO,HALORD BADD、ノイズミュージックから現代音楽リスナーまで、様々な人に聞いてもらいたい作品。

まずジャケットの写真がきれいだね。MONOLAKEは以前にどっかのレイヴで体験したことあったけどその時も気持ち良かったなあ。MONOLAKEのCDを買ったのはこれが初めてだけど砂漠というか静かな森の中って感じかな。ま、砂漠に行った事ないんだけど・・。色んな用途で使えそうだし5.1chで聴けば更に楽しめます。数多く出回ってる「癒し系」とされる音楽では全然癒されない方、真っ暗な部屋の中でこの作品に包まれるのも良いんじゃないでしょうか？
