My Bloody Valentine、The Jesus and Mary Chain、Slowdiveなど数々のシューゲイザーバンドを世に放った、あのクリエイションレコーズのオーナーである、アラン・マッギーを中心としたギターポップバンドのベストです。
曲ごとにPrimal Screamのロバート・ヤングなどが参加しており、一見豪華そうに見えるんですが、選曲が偏り過ぎです。
まず、 Pass The Paintbrush, Honeyから２曲、The Girl Who Runs The Beat Hotelからも２曲、Oblivionからはなんと１曲も出されていないのだ。ほとんどが、Love Is Forever以降のアルバムから出されているので、ちょっとこの選曲は考えてほしかった。
個人的には初期の曲を一番聴いてみたかったので、この選曲は不満です。過去にPass The Paintbrush, HoneyとThe Girl Who Runs The Beat Hotelが2in1CDで発売されたらしいけど、もっかい発売してくれないかな〜？ってか、いっそのこと全部ＣＤ化しないかな？できれば、俺のThe Girl Who Runs The Beat HotelのＬＰがお陀仏になる前に・・・。

1999年に発売された日本編集のコンピレーション「ギター・ポップ・ジャンボリー/マスターピース（Sony Music Edition)」に収録されていた「She Haunts」を聴き、すぐにこの作品を買いました。
全体的には地味ながら美しいメロディーの曲が続きます。1曲目の「She Haunts」だけでも聴いて欲しいです。短い曲ですが、何度聴いても残る余韻に浸ってしまいます。
