ジャーマン・メロディック・パワーメタルバンドのファースト。
もろハロウィーン、ガンマレイ直系のジャーマンメタルサウンド。
疾走チューンを主軸に展開されるアルバムはコンセプトアルバムとなっており、物語の展開に応じたドラマティックな楽曲が列んでいます。
前半疾走チューンが畳みかけ、中盤ミドルテンポがはさまり後半再び疾走するという構成。まあ、ほとんどが疾走チューンなんですが。
要所に挿入されるストリングスが物語を盛り上げ、メロディもかなりよく練られていますが、個人的にはもう少し「泣き」が欲しかったです。

GAMMARAYのダンによるツーバスドコドコなメロディックパワーメタル。
幻想的ではあるがシンセは北欧系ほどではなく、
クリスの細い声と軽いギターによってそう感じるのかも。
サビのリフレインで上がったり、ツボをおさえつつ
非常に聴きやすいアルバムに仕上がっています。

5.0 out of 5 stars ファンタジック・メタルの名盤クラスの出来, 2006/8/11
元MOON　DOC’のクリス・ベイ（Vo＆ｇ）がGAMMA　RAYのダン・ツィマーマン（Dr）と結成したファンタジック・メタルバンドの１ｓｔアルバム。

とりあえずそのいかにもなジャケに引き寄せられたのと、ダンの滑らかに突き進むドラミングが聴ける期待に胸を膨らませて、即買い。

内容は、まさにジャケットから連想される通りのバリバリ、コテコテのファンタジック・メタルで、クオリティも素晴らしい。

MOON　DOC’ではオーセンティックというか、イマイチ面白みのないハード・ロックを聴かせていたので（あれはハーマン・フランクがメインだが）、どういう内容になるか、若干気になってはいた。

が、操系のメロディの大疾走＆大爆発で、あまりのやりすぎっぷりに赤面してしまいそうにもなるが、曲がよく出来ていて、ファンタジーの主人公よろしく、昂揚感を存分に高めてくれる楽曲が並んでいる。

いきなりのキラー・チューン＃１“Over　The　Rainbow”のイントロで、厳かな教会を思わせるメロが流れてきた瞬間に、もう満足。
続く＃２“Tears　Falling”もキラー・チューン。
その他も＃４“Shine　On”や＃５“We　Are　One”、＃６“Hymn　To　The　Brave”など、ポジティブなメロディを配した楽曲が畳み掛けてくる。

ダンのドラミングは期待通りの推進力で、楽曲をリード。ギターに関しては現HELLOWEENのサシャ・ゲルストナーが弾いているが、恐らく言われた通りに弾いているであろうお行儀良さが耳につく。あくまでメロディを最優先したプレイで、でしゃばる部分は見当たらない。
そして肝心のクリス・ベイのヴォーカルだが、これがまたいいんだわ〜。HELLOWEENのアンディ・デリスを彷彿させる歌声だが、あそこまでクセはなく、ファンタジックな世界の語り部として、見事に役割を果たしている。やや元ANGRAのアンドレ・マトスを思わせる部分もあるかな。

聴いた当初の印象は、誤解を恐れず言うならば、ANGRAとGAMMA　RAYを足して割ったような感じだった。

メロスピ好き、ファンタジックなものに目がないリスナーにはゼヒ、オススメする。
