竹村氏の音楽は電子音を無邪気に戯れさせるといった感じのアルバムが少なくない。「scope」「夜の遊園地」「フィナーレ」などなど。

このアルバムはそういった感じは抑えられ、各アルバムで時折みせるノイズもない。収められているのはヨーロッパの田園風景。古い町の中の時計台。そんな風景を思い起こさせるような音楽。絵本に描かれているような、そんなやさしい不思議と懐かしい音が、いろんなインスピレーションを自分に注いでくれる。
個人的に最高の１枚。永遠に聴いていく。

曙光、まさに黎明をもって始まる世界。悠大な陽射。朝が始まる。
時間は悠然と、ゆっくりと流れてゆく―――恐らくは、今日だって何の変わり映えもしない変哲もない一日に過ぎなかった、しかしその穏やかさ、何事もの無さに、少年は、どこまでも感謝し祈った――。
そして日は暮れゆく。耳元での優しい物語を聞きながら少年は、幸せのうちにまどろむ。

実際、コレ聴いてると、無性にヨーロッパにでも行きたくなって、実生活の煩雑さにちょっと嫌気が差すんです。

皆さん思い入れたっぷりに書かれてるので言いにくいが、この作品だったらフィナーレやscoapやsongbookや子どもと魔法の方が好きだな(というか、これらの作品が竹村作品のベストだと思っているので)。何というか竹村氏のイヤな部分が出ている気がするよ
