　1999年発表のスーパーカーの２作目。当時20歳そこそこだったと思えないほど音も歌詞も世界観が確立されている。特に、シンプルでありながら説得力を持つ歌詞のオリジナリティは唯一無二といっていいほど。

　“Walk Slowly”で、まるで新たな生命の誕生を祝福するかのように力強くかき鳴らされるギターは人の持つすべての葛藤や悲しみ、幸福や喜び、そして過去を、未来を肯定している。もしも生き物の心臓の鼓動をギターで表現するとしたらきっとこんな音に違いない。“My Girl”の歌詞が秀逸。歌詞には記載されていない補足(？)的な歌詞が見られるＰＶも必見。

　全編にわたってスロー、ミディアムテンポの楽曲が並び、浮遊感と同時に若者特有の虚無感やセンチメンタリズムを感じさせる。ロックに速度や激しさを求める人はとっつきにくいかもしれないが、これはロックが大人の音楽では無いということを証明するのに十分すぎるほどの一枚。大人になんかならなくたってわかることはたくさんあるんだ。

前作より、疾走感がないぶんメロディ良さ、シンセサイザーの導入等で、新しい世界を開拓したスーパーカーが放つ2nd

子供〜大人への印象をうけました。

しかしその音楽は退化ではなく進化した。

たいていのバンドは1stの成功によって守りにはいってしまうが、このバンドは先にすすんでしまった。

こういうバンドは本当に貴重だとおもうんですよ。

walkslowlyからdaydreamerまでサラッと聞けてしまう。この2ndからスーパーカーは1stのスーパーカーではないんですよ。後の音楽性になるまでの実験的作品。手探りで自分達のベクトルに向かう。そして哲学的な歌詞。ノイズ音。スーパーはいつだって自然だ。そんなスーパーカーの姿勢が好きです。たくさんの人に聞いてもらいたいです。
