アルバム"タイガー・ミルク"のレビューでも書きましたが、歌詞とメロディーがすばらしいベルセバ視聴は英語のオフィシャル・サイトに任せるとして、ここではちょっとだけ歌詞の内容に触れてみます。
5曲目"Fox in the Snow"これはピアノからはじまって、本当に冬の情景を思い浮かべてしまう曲。6曲目の内容は"Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying"はタイトル通り！7曲目の"If You're Feeling Sinister"はアルバムのタイトル曲、Sinisterな気分になったら、Ministerに会いに行ってみなよ…と韻を踏んでいるのも聴いていて心地よし！10曲目の"Judy And The Dream Of Horses"は、心障気味の女の子が夢の中で馬と出会うのだけど…、この曲は本当に最高!!絶対に買って歌詞を堪能すべし！

ジャケットからもわかるように、モリッシー、ジョニー・マーを中心に活動したスミスの影響を受けていますが、ベルアンドセバスチャン（略してベルセバ）はささやくような声で歌い上げる、美しい音色を奏でるバンドです。はじめ取っ付き難さはあるかもしれませんが、聞くうちに良くなり、中毒になりそうなアルバムです。ベルセバを聞くならば、この天使のため息から聞くことをおすすめします。

はじめはレンタルしたから、電車のなかで歌詞だけ読んでいたのだけど、
特にGet me away from here, I'm dying・・・これ聴いて、かなりガツンときました。詞はかなりかなしげなんです、詞は。で、やっぱりかなしげな曲なのかなーと想像していたら・・・先入観を吹き飛ばすかのようなpopなメロディーにそれがはまるんですよ、これが。心の準備をしていなかったので、衝撃と感動でかなりの打撃を受けました。不健康的（？）な詞が健康的（？）なメロディーに乗っかっているのもbelle and sebastianの魅力の一つですよね。とにかく、必聴の一枚です。
