~前作同様素晴らしい内容です。
ルネッサンス音楽だけでなく、ヨーロッパ各国のトラッド音楽を
取り入れたリッチー・サウンドに感動です。
アコースティック・ギターのプレイにもさらに磨きがかかっています。
確かにキャンディス嬢のヴォーカルはまだ弱いところもありますが、
この雰囲気には合っているので、世界を上手く表現できていると思います。

とにかく充実した一枚です。~

バロック調トラッドとして考えるならば、本作の完成度は非常に高い。ファーストアルバムのクラシックへの傾倒をそのままに、明らかにアコースティックギターの比重が増加し、演奏も複雑になっている。ある意味クラシック一辺倒だったファーストアルバムも筆者は大好きであるが、Ritchie Blackmoreのアコースティックギターを堪能するのであれば本作の方が良いように思う。この種類の音楽は国内外で苦戦しているのが実情であるが、必ずいつか再評価されるときが来るであろうと私は信じている。

2nd。今回は中世ルネッサンス音楽というよりは、欧州のトラディショナル・フォーク的な色合いが強い作品となっています。前作よりアコースティック色が強くロック色はあまりないかな。若干ブリティッシュ・フォークを基調とした曲が多めだが、トルコ、イタリア、スペイン、ロシアあたりのフォーク・メロディまで出てくるのが面白い。
