75年発表のソロ2作目。1作目がブルー・リッヂ・レインジャーズ名義のカントリーのカヴァー・アルバムだったのに対し、今作では彼本来のロックンロール・スタイルに立ち返り、CCRファンにも十分楽しめる佳作に仕上がっている。ジャッキー・ウィルソンらのカヴァー3曲で見せるニューオーリンズのR&B色濃いサウンドもゴキゲンだ。なお、前述のブルー・リッヂ~名義のソロ1作目に加え、CCRの旧譜8タイトルも“オリジナルLPジャケット仕様”で同時発売されるので、ファンは要チェック。 (木村ユタカ) --- 1998年12月号
