　じわじわとヒットしたこのスプレンダーのファーストアルバム。セカンドアルバムは納得いかなかったが、やはり、このアルバムは名盤であると思う。しかし、日本ではなかなかヒットしなかったのが残念だ。
　このアルバムからは、１. Don't Understand　2.Yeah, Whatever　6.I Think God Can Explainがシングルカットされたと思う（？）。その中でも、6.I Think God Can Explainは彼らの存在を世界に知らしめた曲。しかし、ここでは視聴できないのが残念。でも、12を聞いておもしろいと思った方、その曲の３倍は面白い曲です。
　スプレンだーのボーカルの独特な声、そして、クリーンなギター。彼らの音楽は、スローでもハードでも何かやさしさを感じる。アルバムは１曲目から最後まで通して聴けます。
　オススメは、1.I Don't Understand、2.Yeah, Whatever、4.Space Boy、6.I Think God Can Explain、11.Cigaretteです。
　stroke9,tal bachman,goo goo dolls、third eye blindなど、90年代後期、2000~１年のオルタナティブが好きな人にはオススメです。

はじめて、Splenderの曲で聞いたのは、Yeah, Whateverだった。この曲はかっこいいロックソングで、すぐに気に入り、他の曲も聴きたくなった。そして、アルバムのほかの曲を聴くと、このアルバムには、もっとすごいいい曲があることを知った。それは、６曲目のI think god can explain。このバラードはほんとうにすばらしい曲で、こころにジーンとくる名曲。他にもいい曲があるが、それがかすんでしまうくらい、名曲なので、ぜひ聞いてもらいたい。
