5.0 out of 5 stars 新鮮なメロディに満ちた快楽の音響, 2002/8/4
ニューヨーク在住日本人女子２人組のセカンド・アルバム。今回はバンド編成になっており、ショーン・レノンもメンバーの一人（ベース、他）。ヒップホップ、ボサノバ、ヘビメタ、プログレなど様々な要素が混在していて、ただ聴いて気持ちいい音響としても最高だが、さらにその上、楽曲の良さが際立っている。これほど新鮮なメロディを紡ぎ出す本田ゆかの才能には恐れ入るばかり。羽鳥美保のヴォーカルも力強さの中に微妙な色気があり、これまた良い。

リリースから４年も経ってしまいましたが、未だに飽きがこないんですよ。１ｓｔの「ヴィヴァ・ラ・ウーマン」もとても良かったんだけど、こちらの方がずっとよく感じられるのは前作がもしかしてオーバープロデュースだったからかもしれません(フルームとブレイク色はそれほど濃くないとはいえ）。前作からの間にアレンジャーとしての本田ゆかの才能が格段にパワーアップしている事は一曲目の「ワーキンフォーヴァケイション」からすぐに分かります。全体的にサンプリングが減り、より緻密に音楽的になっていると思います（勿論サンプリング自体が悪いわけではないのですが、前作でモリコーネやレイのことが殊更取り上げられ、ギミックなバンドと取られるような評が多くて「なんか違うよなあ」と感じたので）。

また羽鳥美保の詞はどれも素晴らしく、中でも「サイファイワサビ」が最高です。ヒップホップ好きにも十分楽しいし、「オビワンケノービ・トーミ・インザ・ロビー、テクニカリ・アイムフリー・エン・アイキャン・ファイン・ザ・キー」てとこはホント気持ちいい。またバッファロードーターのザックがアレンジした「クラウズ」は大野由美子とのハーモニーがとても美しいです。
この４年の間にショーン・レノンは本田ゆかとは違う道を歩み、羽鳥美保もサンフランシスコに移ってスモーキー＆ミホで活動と、チボマットは事実上解散してしまったけど、「ステレオタイプA」がもっとたくさんの人に聞かれると私は嬉しく思います。

このセカンドは、ファーストが話題先行だったのにたいして、落ち着いた評価を得たアルバムでした。音楽も、その評価に沿って落ち着いた？
深みのあるテイストになっています。
ＨＩＰＨＯＰを中心に、音楽のさまざまな要素が絡み合っているけど、
なんか芯がある不思議な音楽で、今聞くと逆に新鮮です！
すごい、適当な感じに聞こえるけど、何回聞いても飽きないし、
気がついたらかけてたり、買ったときは半年くらいはまりました。

音楽的には、当時の流行にマッチするテイストでしたが、ニューヨークからということで、ありきたりな感じにならなかったのかな？

もう、こういう音楽はでないかな~惜しい。
ユニット活動してないし・・・
