真っ直ぐな歌声,温かみのあるピアノの音色,そしてあの素朴な人柄で,とても普遍的な優しさポップスを届けてくれる彼女たちのファースト。心が洗われます。ところでアクターズ・スクール系ばかりでなくこの二人も(Coccoも!!)正真正銘のオキナワン。深い島だ~。

素朴。Kiroroのイメージは、よくも悪くもこの言葉に尽きる。テレビの歌番組に出ている時の天然ボケ(金城さんだけだが)ぶりもすごいものがあるが、このアルバムで聴けるそれぞれの曲の素直な感じも、今の音楽状況を考えると驚異的かもしれない。まず、彼女たちの歌のテーマが“家族”だという。さらに、犬や草木や星々も仲間だと彼女たちは思っている。そしてまたメロディやコード進行が、限りなくシンプル。そこに確かな気持ちよさがある。アレンジャーの重実徹もそういった曲の感じに合わせて、徹底的に生っぽい、70年代的なアレンジを施している。おおむね効果的なのだが、(4)のまるでドゥービー・ブラザーズのようなアレンジはやりすぎ(笑)。それはともかKiroroのどこがいいかと言えば、ヴォーカルの伸びのよさだろう。素直な楽曲に果てしなくのびのびとした発声。そこには単純なカタルシスがある。このまま変わらずに突き進んでほしい。 (楡崎明生) --- 1998年11月号

曲ができるまでのことが歌詞カードに書かれてありました。
それを読むことで、詩と曲に共感して涙を流しながら
聴いてしまいました。
とってもよかったです。

　一曲目に、いきなり「長い間」。
　いきなり、疲れている僕を癒してくれた。
　その後は、頑張って、得意のバラードでなく、ロックンロール風の楽曲。
　手に変え、品を変え、僕に元気をくれた。
　兎に角、頑張ってくれ、
　僕等のKiroro。
