　’７０年発表のデビュー作。３人の各メンバーが、それぞれ前に在籍していたバンドで実績を作っていたので、いわゆるスーパー・グループといえよう。
　１曲目からパワー全開の迫力あるプレイで幕を開ける。
　2はG.LAKEの美声をフィーチャーしながらも、K.EMERSONのピアノがクラシック調、ジャズ調に激しく転調する。

　3は、へヴィなオルガンを中心とした、ポップなハード・ロック・ナンバー。
　4は、パイプ・オルガンを大々的にフィーチャーした荘厳な曲。
　5は、C.PALMERのアクロバティックともいえるドラミングがアクセントとなっているジャズ風なハード・ナンバー。

　6は、G.LAKEの美しいヴォーカルとアコースティック・ギターの心地良いフォーク・ナンバー。バックのシンセサイザーとドラムが不思議な雰囲気を演出している。
　とにかくパワー漲る力強いプレイが全編に貫かれている。ギター・レスでキーボード主体のトリオ編成というだけで十分個性的だが、それ以上の実験精神が随所に感じられる内容になっている。

　それが、本作以降も傑作を次々と生み出せた原動力となっているのであろうことを改めて実感させられる作品だ。
