オーケストラを配置した初期の傑作。アルバム全体のクオリティが高くオーケストラとコーラスの融合が成功した作品。ヨーロッパの多くのグループに影響を与えた必聴の１枚。Giancarloプロデュースの５作品はどれも個性的だがこのアルバムはシングルヒットをたくさん狙えるような曲ばかり。

　イタリアを代表するのプログレ・バンドの’７２年発表作。
　前作より確立された、壮大なオーケストラをバックに、イタリアならではの哀愁のあるロマンティックなメロディを壮麗なコーラス・ワークで歌う、と言うスタイルを更に推し進めた内容となっている。
　まず、楽曲が落ち着いた味わいがあり、アダルト・オリエンテッドな雰囲気を醸し出している。それは歌詞の面でも顕著に反映されている。
　それを効果的に演出する、看板のオーケストラの使用法もよりこなれており、明と暗のコントラストが明確で、楽曲の良さを巧みに引き出している。曲によって挿入されているブラス・サウンドも効果的だ。
　とりわけ目立っているのが、リード・ヴォーカルのRICCARDOの表現力だ。適度に甘く、そして切ないその歌唱法に成長と実力が、如実に表れている。
　彼は本作をもって脱退してしまうが、新ヴォーカリストを加えたその面子が、現在でも活躍するバンドの不動のメンバーとなる。
　それ故、この時期に築かれたバンドのスタイルが大きく、また本作の存在価値が重要なのを改めて感じさせる。

イタリアンロックバンド、イ・プーの5th。 1972作/紙ジャケリマスター盤
「ミラノの映像」の邦題で知られる本作は、間違いなく初期の最高傑作
艶やかなストリングスに導かれて、ゆるやかな叙情が舞い降りる。
繊細でありながらも情熱的なイタリア語の歌声が響きわたり、
壮麗かつ雄大なオーケストレーションが一体となって、
哀愁のロマンが波のように押し寄せて、涙腺を刺激する。
イタリアからしか出て来ない泣きの叙情美に胸震わせろ。
