結婚→出産→Yen Town Band→

というようにキャリア中，公私ともに最も話題が多かった頃に、最終兵器的に発表されたソロ。キッチュでポップでエキセントリックで、、という一連の「女の子」的パブリックイメージが全方位に向けて爆発されたような会心作。

文句なしに最高傑作であると断言できる。

音楽的にはあくまでソウルがベースで、圧倒的な歌唱力がその他の似たような路線のアーティストと一線を画す武器になっている。

実際、パッと見似たような事をしてた人たちはみんな消えたが，この人は残った。スタイルはR＆Rだったりエレポップだったりしても、あくまでソウルシンガーとしての中心線から一歩もブレないあたりが本物のプロの証か。

逆に言えば、この根本的なブレのなさが，他の分野も取り込む事が出来る柔軟さを許している。CharaはなにをやってもCharaなのです。

もう１０年近く前の作品だが，今の若い人たちこそが聞くべきだろう。純然たるソウルやR＆Bではないが、しかしこはソウルミュージック意外の何者でもない。しかも本物の。

Junior SweetはCharaにチャレンジしてみようかなって方に、じゃあ最初はこれ聞きなよっておすすめできるアルバムだと思います。まああの名曲「やさしい気持ち」「タイムマシーン」が収録されていますし、全体的にCharaの中では比較的聞きやすい・わかりやすいってイメージなんじゃないかな。これは別にけなしてるわけじゃなくって。聞きやすい・わかりやすいけど、奥が深くってじーんとくる楽曲ばかりですよ。「私はかわいい人といわれたい」「愛の絆」「勝手にきた」が特におすすめです。「私の名前はおバカさん」なんて聞きながら歌いながら泣いてしまいそうになります。ゴスペルっぽい「せつないもの」は聞いているとCharaの声に包まれてふんわりと空にのぼっていっちゃいそう。

「やさしい気持ち」「タイムマシーン」などヒット曲が入ったこのアルバムは、今までのチャラ要素を残しつつも、更にキュート＆プリティーな作品に仕上がっている。
最初から最後まで、何度も何度も繰り返し聞いて欲しい。
聞くごとに味わい深く、可愛らしく、何度聞いても飽きない良さがある。
