６９年発表の３ｒｄ。後のT.Rexでのエレクトリック路線ばかりが注目されることは仕方がないものの、それ以前の作風も一本筋の通ったサイケデリック・フォークとして高いクオリティを持っている。この作品をもって初期の盟友だったスティーヴ・トゥックが脱退するため、実質的なティラノザウルス・レックスの最終作と見ても良いかも知れない。次作ではアコースティックではあるが、既に後のポップ路線風の曲が登場する。アコギとパーカッション以外にハーモニウム、ピアノ、ベース、ドラムス、テープの逆回転などを随所に配置した演奏は既に後の原形とも言えるが、結果としてはファンタジックな作風にメリハリを与えており、この路線での代表作と言っても良い仕上がりになっている。全体としてはフォーキーでメロディアスな作風であり、お伽の国のような幻想的な世界を持った佳作である。サイケ・フォークとしても傑出した作品だと思うのだが、あまり評価されていない気もする。後の活躍が凄いから仕方がないのだけど。５．はコーラスが思いっきりフラワーを感じさせる佳曲。タイトル曲も代表曲の一つだろう。

TREXを聴いた人が遡って聴くことが多いかもしれないティラノサウルスレックスだが、サウンドとしては実はかなりレベルが高い。スティーブ・トゥックのコーラスが非常に絶妙。音ははっきりいってスカスカで、民族音楽のような要素も感じられるがテープの逆回転がちらほら使われていたり、オルガンやパーカッションなんかの用いられ方なんかも良い。余計な音がない分、マークボランのビブラートがかった声が曲の中心になっていて良いと思います。
