トリビュートの対象が大きくなればなるほど、企画は一筋縄じゃいかなくなるのが常。広げすぎて收拾つかなくなったり、狭めすぎてこじんまりしちゃったり。そこへいくと本企画、いろんな面でバリエーション/バランスが良くてダイナミックで、かなり的を射ているのでは。巨匠・手塚治虫の生誕70周年に棒げられた、このアトムの子供たち17組の愛あるオマージュは、だから気が置けなく楽しめる。野宮真貴、あんじ、ショコラのキューティ・プリティから少年ナイフ、筋肉少女隊、チボ・マット、ショーン・レノンのヒップなロック、真摯に少年性を滲ませた宮沢和史、浅野忠信、佐野元春までという幅で、核は細野晴臣の洒落た総括インスト【7】とボアダムスの原始的ロマン【9】あたり。で、どの新解釈も書き下ろしもイメージを損なうどころか、いずれ映像と巡り会いそうな予感さえはらんでる。つまりは、それだけの許容量が手塚作品にはあるってこと。裏を返せば。 (除川哲朗) --- 1998年12月号

少年マルスと海のトリトンがよかった。人見元基の声が聞けたのも嬉しかった。全体としてバランスのいいアルバムとは言えないがなかなか面白い取り合わせがあり聞く価値がある。またジャケットが美しい。手塚ファンにはジャケットだけでも持っていて損はない。

一曲、一曲聴くには少しキツいかもしれませんが…全体を通して聴いたら結構、良いですよ★まさに手塚WORLD的なアルバムです。オススメ曲は、♪鉄腕アトムや♪カノン、♪The Astro Boy Theme Song、そして僕が一番オススメする曲★★♪あの日君はたった一人で、です!すごく良い曲ですよo(^-^)oラストを飾る曲…いや、語りはすごく奥深く…考えさせられました。

はじめて聞いたときには、？？？と思ったけど、何回か聞いているうちにそれぞれのアーチストの、手塚先生への尊敬と愛がしみじみと伝わってくる、とても不思議なアルバムです。雨の日のゆっくりした時間や、夜寝る前に、おちついて耳を傾けると、何ともいえない懐かしい気持ちになりました。
