CATHEDRALの5th。カテドラル独特の「暗くもどこか陽気な世界」の完成系であり終着点。まず出だしのインストでかなりの驚き、衝撃を食らう！まるでおもちゃ箱を開けたら、兵隊が踊ってたという感じの・・なんともいえない気分を味あわせておいて、名曲ヴゥードゥー！！に突入である（Voodoo fireはカッコイイ、かっこ悪いの賛否両論。俺は結構好きである）。初っ端からテンションが高く全体的に弾けた印象が強い、ファンキーなリズムを刻みつつ新たなカテドラルをアピールする「freedom」、美しい旋律ながらどこかメランコリックな「the caravan」、ヘヴィーなリフ、叙情的なソロそしてスローリフまで巧みに弾きこなすギャズのプレーが印象的な「dust of paradise」（出だしのSEの再度使用で締めくくるところも、またいい。）初めから終わりまで面白みにあふれた構成で展開される。

このアルバムの良さを一言でいうなら「これまで以上に作りこんだ」という事だろう、SEからメロディーまでこれまでにないほど「うまいなァ~」と思わせる曲が多い。これこそここ数作でやってきた音楽の集大成と呼べるアルバムではないだろうか？
