残念ながら、まだハワイを訪れたことがない。
だけど、このアルバムを愛聴するのに、ハワイの知識などまったく要らない。
だって、ここに描かれる世界は現在のハワイとはまったく無関係だから。
このアルバムがもたらすものは、「憧れの楽園」へのノスタルジックな旅だ。
子供の頃、家族で羽田空港を見物に行った。パンナムの国際線がまぶしかった。
そういう時代、そういう憧れを思い出させる珠玉の一枚。
久しぶりに実家に帰る夕方、赤く染まった街の渋滞にはまりながら聴く。
窓の外、無機質なビル群。車を運転する大人になった自分。
もうすぐたどり着く懐かしい我が家。帰ることのない遠い幼少の頃。
若かった両親。
そういう思いが巡ってきます。

前作の流れそのままに出ました傑作！
どうしてもヴォーカル入りの曲に目が行ってしまいがちですが
（実際いいんだけど）
ＣＤ入れた瞬間から最後まで飽きさせることなくドリーミーな世界へと誘いでくれます。
インストはチョット、って人にこそ聞いてほしい、目からウロコのスルメ盤！

ふんわりふわふわ夢見心地。だけど、これはビーチリゾートではないし、コテージでもない。まさに桃源郷の音楽です。だって、これはショーン・オハーガンが想像の末に音楽とともに辿りついた快楽の世界でしょ？　こんな音楽に出くわすことがあるからレコード漁りは止められません。
