ライトニン・ホプキンスは数多くのレコーディングを行っていますが、このモジョー・ハンドかライトニン・ストライクスの２枚は必聴アルバムです。
スロー、ブギーともにライトニン節が炸裂しています。今にもツバが飛んできそうな雰囲気があります。
興味があれば他のアルバムを集めるのも良いのですが、Video（DVD)も発売されています。彼の私生活に近いドキュメンタリですが、非常に生き様が垣間見れて面白い映像です。

このジャケットはブルースジャケットのベストファイブに入るであろう有名なジャケットだ。そしてこのアルバムもブルースアルバムのベストテンに入るものだ。ライトニン＝黒こぶしとすぐに浮かぶ。そして内容もあくまでどす黒い一曲目から強烈なブギだ、そしてドロドロのスロー。アコギでやってるのにここまでぶっといとクラプトンのアンプラグドなど枝のようだ。話が横道にそれたが、今回紙ジャケになりボーナストラックもてんこもり、さあ今すぐレジへ直行だ。

おっとっと、Blues peopleのためのP−VINEじゃ〜ないの？ぶるぅ〜すぺっくぅ〜とか発売されるけれど。
これで充分な音質だと思う！　ようぅ！〜そんな余分な金なら、今のオバマを、アメリカとの関係をなんとかしようじゃないか！

って言うのも、例の”サブプライム”と”クレジット・カードの大量破産者！”で、パンかキャットフードの食生活を強いられているのが大勢の、今（2009/07現在）のアメリカ庶民の状況さ。　この国の”かしら”も、米国の”大企業の社長”のように”食うに困らない”から、無能なわけだ！

３、６曲目の呪術ナンバー（スローブルース）が異様。強烈なオカルトで、ゾクゾクします。
ギターの自在感は、空を飛んでるようなところがある。ペガサスっぽい。
