　ヒップホップ×ロック＝ミクスチャーロック。詩（訳詞）を読まない・聴かないから詩の良し悪しが分からないし、素人で「どういった音が良いのか」といった判断基準が無いから演奏力・ラップのライミングの上手下手の判断が付かないけど（歌唱力は有ると思った）、曲・アレンジはかなり格好良い。
　勢いや暴走力でノリノリ！という曲ばかり。でも勢いや暴走力が半端じゃないから、「ノリノリ！でも良いんだ。」という気分になってくる。
　西海岸的なノリの良いカラッとした明るさなので、晴れた日の（特に雲一つ無いピーカン照りの）海水浴場通り（しかも、人が多過ぎて道路渋滞で混雑していたり、人が少な過ぎて寂しかったりではなく、適度に賑やか）を、『ウェイスト・オブ・マインド』と一緒にドライブしたい。
　メロディや歌詞を重視する人にはお薦めしません。でも、リズムを重視する人は『ウェイスト・オブ・マインド』はノリが良くて格好良いから是非聴いてみて！
　青春パンクのファンにも聴かせたいです。

プレイメイト・オブ・ザ・イヤーよりはちょっとおとなしいと感じるかもしれない。でも、そこにまだzebraheadの初々しさがあり、それが逆に新鮮味があっていい。プレイメイトと一緒に買えば、zebraheadの歴史も知ることができる。一組のグループからこんなにも多彩な曲が生まれるのかと感心です。

ノリがいいのでbackmusicとして聞くと、元気になります。それでは、zebraheadの世界へ！！！！

オレンジ・カウンティ出身zebraheadの二枚目のアルバムにしてメジャーデビューした作品です。

重すぎず、軽すぎないグルーブと心地よいメロディがなかなかかっこいいです。
本格的なヒップホップに影響を受けたアリのラップにジャスティンの高音のボーカルが乗っかるアプローチも既に確立されていて、独特のカラーを出しています。


大ブレイクした3作目と比べると、ジャスティンのボーカルが少な目なので好みが分かれる所だと思います。
初めて聞く方はそちらからどうぞ。
