前作エヴリシング・マスト・ゴーよりもさらにスケールアップ、パンク・バンドとしての顔は薄れ、ミドル・テンポの曲が大半をしめているが、そのどれもがいい、ほとんど名曲状態である。8.ユア・テンダー・アンド・ユア・タイアードや10.ビィ・ナチュラルなんかを聴いてるとホント泣けてくる、これは一家に一枚の名盤であると僕は言い切る。

このバンドに関して何の知識もないのですが、いろんな音が重なっていて分厚くて、とても気持ちの良い音を出す人たちだなあと思いました。

楽しくて、どこかせつなくて、不思議な世界のメロディです。

後半のビートルズみたいだなと思いました。

いくつか聞きましたが、このアルバムが一番いいとおもいました。

私はマニックスのアルバム、すべてリアルタイムで聴いてます。
このアルバムはね。そんなに良くはありませんよ。確かにいい曲は何曲か入ってます。
でも、つまらない曲が多すぎる！絶賛してる人に言いたい！本当にいいの！？これが！？
前作の大ブレイクの波状効果の煽りを受けての過大評価じゃないの！？マニックスの自己満足の世界といいましょうか…。人気が出た後の悪い意味での自信がでたのでしょうね。
はっきり言いましょう。これはいいアルバムではありません。事実、何回も聴こうという気にならないんだから。
