　ブルースソロ第5弾！！こいつは曲調も重ければ内容も重い…　そんなアルバムです。
　一言でいえばコンセプトアルバム…　何でも昔存在した『錬金術師』がトータルなテーマらしいのですが、そういった方面には全く学がありませんので…　。深い意味合いが込められていることだけは確かでしょう。
　つかみの1曲目はミドルテンポでガンガン押してくる『King in Crimson』。そしてアルバムタイトルであり、何か不思議な雰囲気のある『Chemical Wedding』と…　書いても書いても書き足りない程の内容の濃さです。
　IRON MAIDENに復帰した事が惜しまれるほどのアルバムを是非お試しください。

今となってはIRON MAIDENに復帰したブルースディッキンソンの現時点での最後のソロアルバムである。復帰直前にリリースされたこのアルバムは恐ろしいほどの完成度を誇っている。IRON MAIDENと比べるとヘヴィで重厚なサウンドであるが、逆にそれが曲のドラマティックさを際立たせている。さらに、曲の出来も歴代IRON MAIDENの名曲に勝るとも劣らない優れた曲ばかりである。ただし、ミドルテンポの曲が多く、IRON MAIDENぽいものばかりを期待しているとちょっとがっかりするかも知れません。個人的にはIRON MAIDENよりもこっちの方が好きなので、ソロ活動の合間を縫って続けてもらいたい物です。

　このアルバムは、実に濃密なアルバムである。ブルースの歌は、シーンに登場して以来徐々に深みを増し、ここに頂点を極めたという印象を私はもった。このアルバムは、神との合一といった神秘体験を描いた詩を多く詠った神秘主義的詩人であるウィリアムブレイクにインスパイアされたコンセプトアルバム的な内容をもっている。ブルースの歌もこのアルバムでまさにそのキリスト教神秘主義的境地を体現している。神と一体となって、わが身を神に完全に委ねきって完全に“自由”に、思うままに歌っている。それがこのアルバムを説得力あるものにしている。この濃密さは半端じゃない。人間の魂の一番奥深くに訴えるアルバムだ。
