ウジェーヌ＝オーギュスト・イザイ（Eugne-Auguste Ysae, 1858年7月16日リエージュ - 1931年5月12日ブリュッセル）は、ベルギーのヴァイオリン奏者でヴァイオリンにおけるヴィブラート技法を確立した人だ。この無伴奏ヴァイオリン・ソナタ 作品27 (1924) は、6曲それぞれ別のヴァイオリニストに捧げられており、彼らを意識して書かれているようだ。

この6曲の内一番僕が好きなのは第4番だ。特にフィナーレが凄い。このアルバムは1976年5月11日と8月3日にミュンヘンで録音されていてメロディア盤なのでクレーメルの最も初期の録音(29才!)にあたるものだが、粗放さと繊細さに満ちていて惹き付けられる。ただ、どうもこのアルバムは今廃盤になってしまっているようで残念だ。

こんな凄い名曲名盤を廃盤にしておくなどというのは間違いなく文化的損失だぜ。ホント。
