　Vivian CampbellがＷＨＩＴＥＳＮＡＫＥ脱退後、加入したアメリカのバンドの、９０年発表作。メンバーは、Rob Lamothe(vo,g,key)、Vivian Campbell(g)、Nick Brophy(b)(Vivian加入後ギタリストから転向）、ドラマーはパーマネントな者は決まっていないらしい。
　サウンドの方は、あまりオーヴァ・ダヴされていないシンプルなハード・ロック。特にキャッチーでもなく、メロディ重視でもないし、バック・トゥ・ザ・ルーツ的なものでもなくて、本当にシンプルなメロディに、ソウルフルで抜群にうまいヴォーカル、それにVivianのフックの効いたギターが絡むという、派手ではないがずっと聴き込める内容で、うるさすぎない大人のハード・ロックが聴きたい人には最適です。

　しかし、このRob Lamotheのヴォーカリスト＆コンポーザーとしての才能はかなりのもので、日本ではもちろん、世界的にも過小評価されすぎだと思う。

　僕はこのアルバム・ジャケットなどの雰囲気や人気のなさで、買うまでに結構悩んでしまったが、今は買って良かったと思っています。
　個人的には超オススメです！

5.0 out of 5 stars No gimmick,No frill。ハダカのＲＯＣＫがここに。, 2007/2/9
　「ギター・ヒーローにはなりたくない」「テクニック指向に走りたくない」。そんな発言を残してHEAVY METALの世界を飛び出したヴィヴィアン・キャンベルは、その言葉のとおりの音をつくりました。仕掛けも飾りもない、ここにあるのはただＲＯＣＫだけです。しかも上質の。
　テクニカルではないが随所に光るフレーズをちりばめたヴィヴのギターに、ソウルフルなヴォーカルが乗る、キャッチーで少し埃っぽい音。取り立てて特徴はないけれど、これだけ高い水準の曲と安定した演奏があれば文句はありません。噛めば噛むほど味わい深くなる、するめのよなアルバムです。

　大ヒットもなく、地味な存在のアルバムであることは否めませんが、カタログから外され入手困難な状況になっていることは残念です。こういう良心的な作品は、是非とも次の世代に引き継ぎたいものです。
