廃盤の大傑作ラブランドからの曲も入っていますので、白蛇脱退以降が円熟期とするならトータルでマニアも入門者も楽しめる内容です。

ソロになってからのサイクスは押し一辺等から味のある天性のメロディセンスが開花した感じで、その影響を式に表せばポール・マッカートニー+ゲイリー・ムーアを親爺と慕るフィル・ライノットで割ったといったところでしょうか。

もうレスポールカスタムと言えばこの人ってくらい万人が認める結果でしょう。

TIGERS OF PANTAN、THIN LIZZY、WHITESNAKE時代の楽曲を除くSYKESのオールタイムベストと言ってもいいのでは？という作品。
BULE MURDER、そしてSYKESとしての楽曲のおいしい所だけを集めたアルバムで、SYKES入門編としてはもってこいだと思います。
NUCLEAR COWBOYでは大失敗しているので、良い新作が出るまではこれ以前のアルバムがあれば十分です。
SYKESを聴いた事のない人はこのアルバムでSYKESの良さを知ってもらいたいです。
4曲目はPRETTY MAIDSのカヴァーヴァージョンが有名ですが、やはり泣きのギターはSYKESの方が素晴らしく、今は亡きPHILの声がまた胸を締め付けます。
8曲目と11曲目はライブ音源ですが、これもスタジオ録音版より魅力的な響きがあると思いました。
