エクストリームな音楽を心から愛するマニア達の中では知られた存在。
カナダからやってきた化け物集団としか言いようが無いクリプトプシー。
間違いなく、慣れてない人が聴いても気色の悪い雑音でしょう。
しかし、よく聴くとそこには常人のレベルから完全に逸脱したレベルでの演奏が繰り広げられています。

中でもブッちぎりにイってしまっているのがドラマーのフロ・モーニエ。
デスメタルやブラックメタル、グラインドコアなどの世界には超人扱いされるドラマーが数多くいますが、彼はその中でも頂点ではないかとさえ噂されています。

恐ろしいスピードと手数、変則リズムを異常なまでにおり込みつつ、正確無比でタイトな他人にはまず真似の出来ないドラミングを聴かせてくれます。
もちろん、他のメンバーのテクニックも言うに及ばずで、とりわけギターはリフの複雑さは然ることながら、ソロ時での美しいメロディと泣きのセンスには特筆すべきものがありますね。

ヴォーカルは今作からメンバーチェンジされ、前作まで超重低音による『歌詞なんて関係ない』という離れ業をやっていたロードワームが脱退していまいましたが、新任メンバーもなかなかのもの。
パワフルで周りにも劣りません。
現時点では世界一ブルータルなバンドに数えられるであろうクリプトプシー。

やっと人間になった（笑）彼らのサードアルバム
まあ人間といってもボーカリストは例によってものすごくいかちぃ。
歌詞も聞き取り可能になったからメロウになったかといえば、全くそんな事はない。暴風のごとく、津波のごとく、凄まじいスピードで鉄槌のような超強力サウンドが振りかかってくる。青をイメージしたジャケもかっこいい

シンガーを、超極悪重低音濁声を誇ったロード・ワームから、多少耳ざわりが良い？マイク・ディサルヴォにチェンジしての３ｒｄアルバム。

非メタル耳には、パッと聴きには騒音にしか聴こえないであろう緻密で複雑な楽曲はより磨きがかかり、メタル耳を持っている者でもこの音像をしっかり捉えきるのは至難の業であることに疑いの余地は無い。

とにかく演奏レベルが尋常じゃない。
大抵の人は、
「何やってるかよくわかんねーけど、とにかくスゲー( ﾟДﾟ)！」
という印象を受けるハズ。

実際、かく言う自分にとっても、ドラムをやっているにも関わらず、このドラムスを追うのは困難を極める(-_-;)あまりの目まぐるしいリズムの展開にトリップすること必至。

「んじゃ、同じフレーズを同じスピードで叩いてね」
なんて言われても、
「ムリムリムリ！！！（爆死）」

結局、
スゲー！(;ﾟдﾟ)ﾎﾟｶｰﾝ 　　なワケですよ・・・。

彼らのレビューでは、誰しもが触れる、フロ・モーニエの千手観音ドラミングは、とにかく圧巻。
手数、足数、音圧、スピード、全てが匠の技。

「メタル？？んなもんバカで楽器が演奏できないようなヤツがやる勢いだけの単細胞な音楽だろ？」

なんていう巷にはびこった陳腐な考えを瞬時に葬り去る超強力盤。

ま、個人的には、ドラムを志す人間にはオススメしないかも(^_^;)
なぜならあまりに凄すぎて自信を喪失しかねないから・・・（爆）
ちなみに最新アルバムではもっと凄いことになっちゃってる(;゜д゜）ポカーン
