切なく悲しい世にも美しい名作。
あのFIONA APPLEも大絶賛。繊細メロディと自閉的な歌詞。
「グッド　ウィル　ハンティング」の名曲「ミス　ミザリー」を収録しているので日本盤をおすすめします。

静かな雨の降る夜に、目を閉じてこの音楽に耳を傾けてみてください。
きっともうしばらくしゃべる気など失せてしまいます。
エリオット・スミスが死んでもう随分経ちますが、彼の伝えたかったことはなんだったのか。
その答えには誰もたどり着くことができないだろうけど、きっとあなたはこれを聴いて何かを感じるはずです。
そして、それはおそらくあなたの人生にとってとてつもなく大きなものになります。
それだけで、このアルバムを手に取った価値があります。
そしてそれこそが、エリオットが生きることに苦しみながらこの歌を生み出した意味なんだと思います。

彼は歌でできてる人だったんだなーって思えてくる。 自分自身を歌にして世界に解き放って私たちに聞かせてくれた。彼のあり得ないくらい美しいメロディ、心からの歌声を聞いてるとそう感じられるんです。亡くなってしまったいまでは余計に… 彼はありったけの自分を歌にしてくれたんだなーって
