ロイヤルハントのサード・アルバム、『ムーヴィング・ターゲット』のリマスター再発盤です。今作品は名シンガーＤＣ・クーパー加入後初のアルバムとなります。彼の何の不自然もなく繰り出される伸びの良い高音はロイヤルハントの楽曲に良く合っており、この時期が彼らの絶頂期だった事を改めて納得させてくれます。楽曲は２〜８までは普通の佳曲なのですが、徐所に疾走してくる１の『ラスト・グッドバイ』とＤＣの高音が最も炸裂する９の『タイム』がヤバ過ぎる！どちらもバックコーラスを導入した名曲で、アンドレ・アンダーセンのキーボードもシンフォニックに大炸裂してます！この２曲だけで購入動機は充分！

100点満点。このアルバムの、どこにマイナス点があるでしょうか。某HM誌が何点つけたか知りませんが、私は何度聴いても満点をつけます。

いきなり名曲中の名曲"Last Goodbye"をもってこられて、まず完全にのめりこんでしまいます。このフェードインしてくるオープニングには、毎回ぞくぞくしてしまう。

その後もテンションが下がることなく、華麗で高貴で哀愁漂うロイヤルハントワールドが展開され、9の大名曲10の感涙アコースティックで締める。これのどこにケチがつけられようかと、本気で思います。

アンドレのキーボードが決め手なのはもちろんですが、わたくし個人の好みで言わせてもらえば、JKのギター、特にチョーキングの美しい音色に心が洗われます。そしてそして、D.C.のボーカル。やっぱりアンドレの曲にはこの人しかいませんよ。

次作の"Paradox"も大傑作でした。でもそれ以降、多くのファンは離れていっています。ということは、アンドレとD.C.のマジックを再び！と願うファンが多い、ということです。アンドレさん、大人になって、D.C.を戻してあげて！！

今回のリマスターはキーボードのオーケストレーション及びヴォーカルのソロ部分で明らかに旧盤との音質及び音の分離が明確に分かり好意的に受け止められます。
曲に関しては前作までの彼らから一皮剥けた感があります。
その要因はヴォーカルが中声域魅力のヘンリック･ブロックマンからさらに高音域までを得意とするD.C.クーパーへ交代した事だけではなくアルバムの中の捨て曲が一切無いほどの充実感とアンドレ･アンダーセン自身のソロ･バンドのニュアンスが濃かった前作までの当バンドが民主主義的なバンドになった事にあると思います。
(その感覚はライヴ盤でも感じられます)その事により特定の楽器だけが飛び抜けて目立つと言うような感じを受けず曲のトータルアレンジ重視の気持ちが今まで以上に強くてクオリティーがさらに上がっていると思います。
あらためて言いますアルバムの中の捨て曲は一切ありません!!

初めてロイヤルハントを聞く人はこれから入るのが吉。
