PEANUTSのTVスペシャルで使われた曲の中で、CD化されていなかった曲を収録した、ファンならぜひ聴きたいアルバムです。初CD化の曲の他に、アルバム「A Charlie Brown Christmas」と「A Boy Named Charlie Brown」から"Linus&Lucy"などの有名な曲も入っているので、これ一枚で得した気分ですね！

６曲目の子供達のアカペラはとってもかわいくてお勧めです！シュローダーなどの声の役をしていた子供達だそうです。

PEANUTSは漫画の方の絵やセリフも、アニメの方の音楽も全てパーフェクトに洒落ているという素晴らしい作品ですね。このアルバムを聴いてそれを実感しました。

収録曲がかなり「A Charlie Brown Christmas」や「A Boy Named Charlie Brown」とダブっている。「Joe Cool」や「Surfin' Snoopy」のような、このCDに初収録の曲の多くは、モノラルで一曲一曲も短く、音質が劣る。これらの曲は本来レコードやCDとして出されるのを前提に作ったのではなく、TVスペシャル用のBGMをそのまま持ってきたのだろう。これを「出すものがないなら無理に出さなくてもいいのに」ととらえるか、「何でもいいからあるのは全部出して」と思うかは迷うところ。

スヌーピーに捧げたポエム。ちょいといじくっているところがみそ。
デビッドベノアみたいにリリシズムに収束するのではなく、むしろ、アドリブいれたりしてちょいとアレンジにこってみました、という感じ。
ネリ込みはちょいと甘い印象。
コアなスヌーピーファンはゲット。１０点中４点
