5.0 out of 5 stars 廃盤にして良いわけが無い！, 2008/6/7
栄枯盛衰、80年代を通じて低迷した御大ですが、プリンス殿下の支援を受け、
89年に　"シンデレラ・セオリー"　を発表。一部で評価を得るものの、ヒットに
は至らず、改めて4年の歳月をかけて作成されたのが本アルバム。

時は93年、Dr.DreがP-Funkを消化したG-Funkを標榜し、傑作 "クロニック"
やスヌープの　"ドギー・スタイル"　等の特大ヒットを弾き出した年。
まさに満を持して、の勝負作。

メンツからして気合が違う。ブーツィー、バーニー等のP-Funk勢に加え、
Dr.Dre、チャックＤ、デジタル・アンダーグラウンド等のヒップ・ホッパーから
レッチリまで、御大をリスペクトする大物ゲストを総動員！
プロデュースは御大を中心に、ＴＬＣのヒットを仕掛け、当時飛ぶ鳥を落とす
勢いのダラス・オースチン、そしてもちろんプリンス殿下！

そして何より、G-Funk何のその、自らの偉大すぎる傑作群をネタにした
やや本末転倒なトラックをバックに、血管もぶち切れよとばかり、60歳の
ぶっ飛び冷や水ラップをぶちかます異様なハイ・テンション！
自らのラップと女声コーラスをハーモナイズさせる等、全盛期に迫るアイデア
の切れ！

残念ながら、またもやヒットには至りませんでしたが、変態にして天才、
ブラック・ミュージック異端のカリスマは、2000年代に入っても、アウト
キャストのアンドレ3000等、時代の天才達のインスピレーションの源で
あり続けています。
その驚異の個性が存分に発揮された大・問題作、再発しなきゃ！

クリントンのカリスマ性は抜群。ただ、どぎついp-funk色は少し薄いかな。彼らの大ファンというアンソニーとフリー（レッチリ）の参加も嬉しい。プリンスやハビー・ハンコックもクレジットされてます。もちろんブーツィーなどのp-funk軍団も参加。この豪華メンバーで大満足。あとは人気のラッパーをフューチャーしているアルバムです。
