このアルバムとＨＡＬＬＥが第１期カシオペアの円熟していたころではないでしょうか。野呂さんのスキャットや櫻井／野呂によるデュエットなど、遊び心もあり、楽曲もバリエーションに富んでいる。ＡＳＡＹＡＫＥだけがカシオペアじゃありません。全体的にメロディ、アンサンブル重視、派手なプレイはないけれど、好きなアルバムです。ナルチョも良いけれど、やっぱり櫻井哲夫のチョッパーが懐かしく、カシオペアサウンドに欠かせないと思うのだけれど。聞くたびに、もう一度やり直してくれないかなと思ってしまいます。

衝撃の一曲目"LOOKING UP"は何とカシオペア始まって以来初の8ビート。他にもEW&W風で野呂一生のスキャトが
冴える"DAZZLING"や、渡辺貞夫提供作品を大胆にレゲエアレンジしたOUTDRIVなどなど。それまでのワクを打ち
破る曲が続きます。

メンバー全員が作曲作品を提供し、楽曲的にもバリエーションに富んでいながらチグハグ感はありません。

トータルでカシオペアの魅力を堪能できる一枚。ジックリもよし、流してもよし。今でもTPOを問わず新鮮に聴
いています。
