   ベートーヴェンの『月光』からはじまる本作は、セピア色のヨーロッパ映画の趣がある。<6>や<11>などのライヴでおなじみのナンバーも心地よいが、特にチェックしたいのは、サード・アルバムへの布石にも思える7分58秒の大作である<13>である。せつないメロディー・ラインと、「愛する者の死」という悲しみに沈む女性をモチーフにした歌詞に、自ずとそのストーリーに引き込まれ、思わず涙してしまう傑作である。（多田ライコウ）

僕はこのアルバムが大好きです。それはこのアルバムの世界観がものすごく壮大で美しいからです。仮面劇は聴いてて最高に気持ちいいし、フリージアの少年のメロディーセンスは最高だし、４０００粒の恋の歌は涙なくしては聴けないし、シルクスカーフに帽子のマダムは胸にしみます。（僕はこのアルバムの中ではこの曲が一番好きです。）イエモンの後期ヒット曲（JAMやSPARKなど）しか知らないという人にもぜひ聴いて欲しいアルバムです。

“太陽が燃えている”や“ＳＰＡＲＫ”が代表曲に挙がる彼らからは想像もできない曲をやっているところがなんともおかしい。しかし，このアルバムにこそイエモンの核の部分があると思う。グラムロックの持つきらびやかさや，退廃を，それに通ずるシャンソンや歌謡曲という独自の手法で表現したところにイエモンのオリジナリティーがあるのではないだろうか？イエモンは高いセールスを記録しても，どこかアングラで万人受けしない雰囲気を最後まで保ち続けていたバンドだと思うが，その素地はこのアルバム、そして３ｒｄでしっかりと出来上がった，そんな印象を持っている。

この「アルバム」が好きです。
もうなんというか、詩の狂いっぷりといい、やたらノリのいいノイジーなロックもあり、どん底まで突き落とすような悲しいバラードもあり…
無茶苦茶なようで、でも曲の良さが引き立つ構成で１枚のアルバムとして奇跡的に完成してます。
猛烈なファンから「耳が腐るまで聴いてください！！」と薦められて聴いたのが約１０年前。
相当聴いたけど、まだ耳は腐らんよ。ほんと、聴き応えのあるいいアルバムだ。
