VAN HALENのデビューからサミーヘイガー在籍時までの代表曲に新曲２曲を加えたＢＥＳＴアルバムです。デイブリーロス在籍時のロックンロールからサミーヘイガー在籍時のラブバラードまで、バラエティ良く選曲されており、VAN HALEN入門に最適だと思います。
VAN HALENというと、エディのギタープレーに目が行きがちですが、こうして改めて聞きなおしてみると彼らの楽曲の良さがわかります。
欲を言えば、デイブリーロス在籍時の「ユーリアリーガットミー」「プリティウーマン」も収録して欲しかったのですが、カバー曲だから仕方が無いですね。
