4.0 out of 5 stars SINNER節の疾走はやっぱカッコいいね!, 2007/2/7
巷では天才メロディ・メイカーと評判の高いマット・シナーのメロディ・センスが随所で堪能できるデビュー・アルバム。

もう発売して１０年にもなるのね・・・。時が経つのは早いもんだ(^_^;)

マットの本業であるSINNERに比べるとよりメタリックではあるが、後の作品と比較すると鋼鉄度はおとなしめ。

曲によってはバリバリのJUDAS　PRIEST系、かたやその一方ではモロにSINNER系と、やや雰囲気にバラつきは見られるものの、一様に曲の質は高い。

個人的にはSINNER節がダイレクトに味わえる＃３“Silver＆Gold”、＃７“Nine　Lives”などがお気に入り(^｡^)

今の作品に比べると決して音質がいいとは言い難いけど、曲そのもののクオリティは十分今でも通用すると思うな。

とにかく、シーパースのVoが驚異的。彼がプリーストの後任Voに選ばれたかも知れなかった話は過去にあったけど、こうしてアルバム全編で歌っている様は貴重です。シナーや、プリースト往年のスタイルが炸裂してくるので、それが好きな人は聴いてくださいな。ストロングなメタル、メロディアスなミドル曲、破壊的なヘヴィナンバーとあの手この手と工夫はしています。実際、曲はよくできていて文句がない。あるとすると個性の有無について。ロブ・ハルフォードの後任になり得たシーパースといい立派だけど、このバンドならではの個性をもっと発揮できれば・・・ただ、いろいろなバンドがいる中で、絶滅状態のこの手のメタルを追求している彼らは只者じゃないね。

元TYPAN PACE~ガンマ・レイのラルフ・シーパース(VO)とシナーのマット・シナー(B)によるプロジェクトの１st。
ギターもSINNERのトム・ナウマンが務め、カイ・ハンセンが３曲参加。
序章＃1に続く＃2でTYRAN PACE路線か？と思ったが、＃3でSINNER節が炸裂、＃4になるといくらか、ガンマ・レイっぽい雰囲気もあったりしてと、ラルフとマットの持ち味を上手くミックスしたメロディアスな爽快なジャーマン・メタル作品に仕上がっている。
ただ、DEEP PURPLEのカヴァー＃9以降、いきなり曲が退屈になってしまうのが残念。
