   この世には確実なことがたったふたつあると昔から言われてきた。死、それに税金だ。それに3つ目を加えるならば、ローリング・ストーンズのライヴ盤は3年おきにリリースされるという事実。明らかに出来不出来があったとしても（絶頂期の1969年のライヴから選曲されたすばらしい『Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out』は優れた例外だ）続々とリリースされるストーンズのライヴ盤の中で、1982年リリースの本作は4作目に当たり、こののちバンドは長い休止期間に突入することになる。

   アルバム『Tattoo You』をサポートするツアーから録音されているにもかかわらず、収録されたわずか10曲のストーンズのライブテイクのうち8曲が、初期のトラックか、お気に入りのロックやR＆Bの新鮮味のないカバーのいずれかだ。これまでアーティストとしてのカムバックを1度（あるいは3度）果たしてきたストーンズだが、このライヴ盤ではしばばしば、懐メロバンドとなることに抵抗してもがいているように見える。（Jerry McCulley, Amazon.com）

　この時、ミック３８歳。当時の雑誌に載っていた、年老いた彼が杖を持って歌っている風刺画を思い出しました。
　７０年代の荒っぽさはなくなり、円熟味も帯びてきたのですが、昨今リリースされ続けている、何のアレンジもないマンネリライブとは違い、まだまだ「本物」を感じさせてくれます。
　無数に出回った同時期のライブのブートレックが、それを証明しています。
　キースとロニーのギターが左右チャンネルから完全に分離してます。今と違い、この頃の２人のギタースタイルは完全に違っていました。ヘッドフォンで確認してみて下さい。
　収録地がそれぞれ違うのですが、繋いてあるのでフルライブを聴いているように感じます。
　ミックのヴォーカルはかなりオーヴァーダヴしてあるのですが、後半息切れしながらヘロヘロで歌われるより、ずっと聴きやすくなっています。「スタート・ミー・アップ」がいい例です。
　同名映画より演奏はずっとしっかりしています。リマスターの表記がないのですが、とてもいい音です。買う価値は十分あります。

「Ａ列車で行こう」、オープニングアナウンス、そして「アンダー・マイ・サム」のイントロがオーヴァーラップ、これでワクワクゾクゾクします。ライヴアルバムとしては一枚ものという事で少し物足りませんが、その分冗長にならず腹八分目で飽きずに聴く事ができます（それ以上の音源を聴きたい人はそれなりの手段で聴くでしょう）。音源はこれまでのライブ盤と同様オーヴァーダヴィングされている個所があったりしますが、次のトゥアーから参加することとなるバックボーカリストのバーナード＆リサがいない分、ミックと調子っ外れのキースのハモリがこの上なくかっこいいです。これからキース、他人まかせにしないでもっとハモってほしいなぁ

このライブ盤は「Love you live」や「get ya ya ~」に比べるとあんまり重要視されていないみただけど、ファンなら絶対に押さえておかなきゃいけないアルバムです。テンプスのカバー「just my imagination」で聴けるキースのギターは、彼生涯のベストプレイの１つ。オープニングの「under my thumb」のイントロにもぞくぞくしてしまいます。映像版「Let's spend the night together」も必見です！！
