エリントンが,マックス・ローチとチャールズ・ミンガスというトリオでレコーディングした異色作。だがこれを聴くと,エリントンはピアニストとしても素晴らしい才能の持ち主だったということがよくわかる。けっこう尖ったソロが,意外だが新鮮だ。
