このアルバムでのメンバーは、パーカッション：Glen Sweeny、オーボエ： Paul Minns、ヴァイオリン・ヴィオラ： Richard Coff、チェロ： Ursula Smithで、曲はすべて全員の共作となっています。
（メンバーチェンジが激しい割りにはサウンドはそれほど変わりません。）

基本的にはタブラ系のパーカッションのリズムに乗って、インプロヴィゼーションが展開されるというパターンです。

2.「地」では弦のピチカート奏法によるリズム（緩急、和声あり）をバックにオーボエのインプロ（多重録音）が続きます。
4.「水」はオーボエの伸びやかなソロが心地よいです。（意外にメロディアス）

まさにone&onlyな音楽。強いて似たものをあげるとするなら、「ラジオのように」でのアート・アンサンブル・オヴ・シカゴあたりかな。（ラッパはないけど）

ＬＰ時代の録音だから全部で４０分足らずというのがちょっと残念。

地火水風の四元素を表現したコンセプトアルバム。
オーボエ、チェロ、ヴァイオリン、リコーダー、民族的なパーカッション等を使った全編インタープレイインストです。緊張を強いられるインタープレイ的な感じは薄く素直にコンセプトを表現しようとしているところが聞きやすいです。ヨーロッパ的な土着音楽といった感じで、優しい気持ちにするようなイマジネーションを広げてくれます。暗い部屋でリラックスして聞くと最高です。
