イングヴェイがこの画期的なアルバムを出してからもう7年近く経つが残念ながら音楽シーンは彼の偉業を評価しないようなつまらない音楽だけが幅を利かす状況になってしまった。今のロックをロックと感じてる若い世代には彼の凄さがおそらく伝わらないと思う。イングヴェイは間違いなく歴史に残るギタリストであり彼の曲も名曲として残るだろう。今はロックにとって厳しい時代だが、またいずれ彼やヴァンヘイレンのような救世主が突然現れてくれると信じたいが。
そんな希有な天才ギタリストがクラシックを演るとこうなるというのがこのアルバム。もともとハードロックはクラシックのエッセンスがかなり取り入れられていたが、ここまで徹底的に真剣にやったのは多分最初で最後ではないかと思う。いまはやりのコラボレーション的な企画ものではない。イングヴェイがオーケストラのために作ったコンチェルトにソリストとしてストラトで演奏してる本格的な純クラシック風ロックアルバム。フレーズが全く違和感なくオーケストラと調和してます。それまでいくつもあったオーケストラとの競演モノが全てが子供だましに思えてくる。こういう作品が正当に評価される時代になってほしいもんです。

このアルバムは、クラシック音楽の名曲を、オーケストラとイングヴェイが一緒に演奏しているのではない！
ずっと思い描いていたイングヴェイの夢であり、
彼が作曲した曲を、彼がリード・ギターを演奏しながら、バックのオーケストラが演奏しているのだ！

しかし、なんという恐ろしい作品だ！
完全にクラシックで音楽である。

これが彼が望んでいた全てを注ぎ込んだ作品なのか！と改めて思った。
もともとマイナーコード（短調）を基礎に作り上げられてきた彼の曲の数々は、
クラシックを基礎にしていることは周知の事実であるが、
これは完全にHARD ROCKの枠を越えている。
1曲目からラストまで、壮大で心を打つメロディの宝庫であり、

本当にこの作品はクラシック愛好家にも聴いてもらいたい！

　まず驚いたのがエレクトリックギターがオーケストラの中にあってひとつの楽器として他の楽器と調和していることでした。　このアルバムを聞く以前に松本孝弘氏によるオーケストラアルバムを聞いていたのですが、それは聞けたものではありませんでした、やはりギターが前面に出すぎていて、オーケストラがただのお飾りのようでした　その点このアルバムは私の耳を満足させてくれるものでした　ぜひみなさんにもおすすめしたいと思います。
