超絶早弾きギタリストクリス・インペリテリ率いるメタルバンドのスタジオ作第五弾です。前作「Screaming Symphony」において魅せた完成度の高い楽曲群を更に進化、昇華させた印象の窺える名作です。裏ジャケのクリス本人の表情にも自信のほどが窺えます。

一曲目から４曲目のインストゥルメンタルに至るまでの流れはまさに息つく暇なし！といった印象です。セクシーながら力強いシャウトと幅広い音域で曲の精度をぐいぐいと上げているロブ・ロックの実力ももちろんすごいのですが、畳み掛けるようにソロの音の嵐を紡ぎだすクリスのギターテクニックも健在。聴いていて安心感すらも与えてくれます。

正統派HR/HMとしての使命感もどこ吹く風と吹き飛ばし、いまだ快進撃を続けるこのバンド。次の作品も楽しみです。

全10曲を通して気に入った。
理由を述べるとするならば,曲の構成とないようである。
1曲目に本アルバムのタイトルにもなっているアイ・オブ・ザ・ハリケーンは1曲目としては十分なインパクト,そして重厚感を持っている。
2曲目、3曲目への流れはIMPELLITTERIらしいアドレナリンを噴出させるような疾走感を表している。

4曲目にはインストゥルメンタルの曲をつかい、前3曲で固めたイメージを爆発させている。
5曲目は全曲とは一変して、疾走感は消えて,重厚感が増している。
この曲はこの後の6曲への変化の予兆となっている。
7曲目は6曲目の重厚感を引き継ぎながらせき止められた水が堤防を決壊させたように飛び出す勢いへと変わる。

その水は8曲目で落ち着きを持ち9曲目の大河の持つ重い力へと変わる。<!BR>また、10曲目にはふたたびインストゥルメンタルが入るが、この思い流れを損なおうとはしない。
10曲目はまさに海である。
大河の出口をくぐり,優しさ,そして強さを兼ね備えていると言えよう。
以上の理由により、このCDを私は推します。

イングヴェイより速いと言われる男、クリス・インペリテリ（ｇ）率いるバンドの５作目。

屈指のメタル・シンガー、ロブ・ロックとクリスとのコンビネーションはここに来ていよいよ円熟味を増してきた感が強く、エキサイティングなスピード・チューンからドラマティックなパワー・バラードまで、ヴァリエーション豊かな楽曲が目白押しの良作に仕上がっている。

良質なメロディを優れたシンガーが情感を込めて歌い、それをサポートするバック陣もテクニカルかつスリリングに曲を盛り上げる。これで駄作になろうはずもない。

インペリテリ名義の作品中、最も緩急に富んだ一枚で、個人的には彼らの最高傑作だと思う。

特にアルバム中盤〜後半に配置されたバラード＃７“On　And　On”と＃１１“Paradise”が実にいいアクセントとなっていて作品トータルの印象を高めている点が見逃せない。

ファンはマスト。メロディ派のリスナーも聴く価値十分。
