But "Kimono My House" is full of the same symphonic delirium, Ron Mael's sharp, funny lyrics and brother Russell's vocal acrobatics, self-consciously spectacular songs that seem to be charging in three directions at once, eruptions of extrovert eccentricity. 　　　　　 こんな個性的な兄弟がいるだろうか。
この RON & RUSSELL のメイル兄弟ほどに一風変わった兄弟は、芸人以外にいないのでは無いかと思う。（あえて挙げろと言うならDEVOのボブ1号、2号くらいなものか？どうでもいい？）
　ジャケットのデザイン・姿勢・演奏・思想に至るまで一見すると、キワモノ扱いとされてしまうが、このギリギリの処で演奏やパフォーマーをやってのける所が、何ともいい様がなく良いです。
　また、『 彼等 』は『 彼等 』を演じ、それは『 音楽 』にまで、ちゃんと反映されていると言う徹底ぷっり。まさに職人ならではの所業ではないだろか？
私的に 1.の『 THIS TOWN・・・』から続いて2.の『 AMATEUR HOUR 』の流れも聴いているだけで、何だか RON が無表情に壊れた人形の如く演奏をこなし、そして RUSSELL が高らかに唄い上げる姿が目に浮かぶ様・・・凄いしてヤラレタ好きな曲です。
　本アルバムのジャケットにも見事にはまり、上記の曲と共に、この妖しい『艶』ぽっさが最高です。
　
　二人の奇妙な音楽（当時なら特に）を堪能してみては如何？。

私がこのアルバムと出会ったのは１９９３年くらいのことだろうか。
裏声の美しさと気だるさが私の心をわしづかみにしてしまい、
毎日毎日聞いていました。
ジャケットの気持ち悪さからくる曲のイメージは期待通りで
絶対にお勧めのアルバムです！

まずものすごいジャケ。そして一曲目でノックアウト。クイーンを彷彿とさせるようである、と言われそうだが、事実はその逆。フレディ・マーキュリーは彼らのファンだったし、クイーンはスパークスの前座だったりもした！！とにかくこんなすごい人たちが日本で知られていないのは残念です。こんなに編ですごい兄弟、なかなかいない！！！
