彼女の飾らない、あどけなく可愛らしい歌声は、まるでお昼下がりにのんびりとパリのオープンカフェでお茶でもしているような気持ちにさせてくれます。おしゃれな古着屋さんにいるような気分にもなれます。フレンチポップをちょっとかじってみたい方にもとってもおすすめです♪

フランスのポップスってどんなのかしらと思い、何気なく手にした１枚です。収録数が多く、トップから「CMでかかっていた曲だ！（2年くらい前）」とピンとくるものでした。フランス語はさっぱりわからないのですが、収録されているほとんどの曲が自分好みのメロディーで、ずっと手元に置いておきたいCDです。世代を越えて愛されるわけが分かります。

フレンチポップスに興味を持つうちに、自然とセルジュ・ゲンスブール、フランス・ギャルの2人を知るようになりました。
セルジュが提供した8曲がこのアルバムに収録されていますが、全世界ブレイクのきっかけとなった#1、「裏の意味」がかなり物議を醸した#4、いずれも彼の作品。
ギャルの歌唱テクニックは、同時期に世に出たシルヴィ・ヴァルタンと比べれば確かに力不足ですが、逆にいえばその「物足りなさ」が感性を刺激するところがあるのかもしれません。
もう40年ほど前の作品ばかりですが、フレンチポップスの始祖を知ることができる1枚と考えています。
