   94年に再結成したイーグルスが、ワールドツアーを控え、その前哨戦とばかりにアンプラグドライヴを敢行。その際に収録されたのがこの作品である。
   やはり黄金期の名曲ばかりの構成で、ファンサービスに余念がない。キャリアを重ねた男たちの心意気ともいえるプレイが随所に光り、惰性だけの荒削りだった部分にも余裕が見える。そのぶん洗練されたサウンドが生まれたようで、大人のロックが味わえる。構えることなくリラックスして聴ける内容だ。うまい酒を片手に楽しみたい。（春野丸緒）

アルバム後半はアコーステックなライブが中心になっていて、とてもリラックスしたいい雰囲気が伝わってくる。「ホテルカリフォルニア」のラテンぽいアコースティックヴァージョンのなんとカッコイイこと！！これだけでもざわざわ熱くなってしまうほどだ。そして「Pretty Maids All In A Row」は夏の終わりの夕陽をしっかり感じることができる。

これはまちがいなく、愛蔵盤でしょう！

ライヴアルバムとしては最高級の出来。
選曲も新曲もツボにはまってます。ほとんどがアコースティックですが何の違和感無く全曲聞けます。むしろメンバー個々に巧さと渋さが加わりまた違うEAGLESが見えます。
ガットギターの音やパーカッションの音が妙に心地よく聞こえます。新曲もEAGLESっぽいリフ。
個人的にはジョー・ウォルシュの曲が良い。

Eaglesの再結成のニュースは当時随分話題になりました。Get Over Itはなかなかかっこ宜しい曲だと思いました。Love Will Keep Us Alive、Girl from Yesterday、Learn to Be Still の３曲はインパクトが弱いですがJoe WalshのIn the Cityは名曲ですな。
なんといっても超豪華な演奏陣の完璧な演奏がEaglesの楽曲ををより魅力的に聴かせており、Don Henleyの歌声やI Can'tTell You WhyでTimothy Schmitがリードヴォーカルを取る所は熟成された輝きを放っています。そこには大人のロックとかうまい酒を片手に、などあまりに古くさく陳腐すぎる言葉は全く意味を成しません。寧ろ完全に素面でじっくり聞き込む価値のあるCDです。歌詞が分からないと１００％楽しめるとは言えないのでこの際ここで全部覚えちゃいましょう。＼(^o^)／
Hotel Californiaのラテンアレンジも面白いですが、I Can't Tell You Why 、Desperado という名曲がオーケストラアレンジでより魅力が際立ち、Wasted Time 、Pretty Maids All in a Row 、Last Resort の美しさもより高まっています。そしてDon Henleyが歌に徹したNew York Minute でその作曲、作詞能力の高さと歌の表現力の上手さが改めてクローズ・アップされます。
出来ればDVDで聞く方が宜しいですが、Eagleという絶対不可侵の音楽世界を存分に味わえるCDですぞ。
