単純に保存が面倒なので、紙ジャケは好きじゃないです。つーわけでこっちにしただけで、どちらでも構わないと思います。

マジカルパワーマコは日本のプログレとして有名ですが、とりあえずプログレ云々よりも、これは「奇盤」と評すべきアルバムではなかろうかと。純粋にこれを楽しみ、一生聴いていきたいと思ってる人は実際、そんなに居ないでしょう。だって、今尚聴いても前衛すぎる。アルバムの流れなども何も関係の無い音の配置、バリエーション、どれをとってもあまりに唯一無二すぎる。
2曲目なんて、拍手と一緒に、チャチャチャと叫んでるだけだし、津軽弁の曲は普通に津軽弁の曲だし。灰野敬二が2曲参加しているのも有名かな？特に、「束縛の自由」は、普通に前衛ロックと化しています。
何にせよ、あの灰野敬二をけいちゃんと呼んじゃう天才マコちゃん。天才のサウンドに耳を澄ますのはいかがだろうか？

やってる感じが伝わるのが気持ちいいアルバム。伝説とか気にせずにこのやんちゃな音楽を楽しむのがよいかと。
これはマイク・オールドフィールド、ここはフロイド、と感じる部分もあるけどそれで盛り下がることもないし。

このアルバムが実は30年近くも前に、しかも10代の作者によって発表されたものであることには正直驚きを禁じえない。全体としては、なんとなくピンクフロイドを彷彿とさせる印象を持ったが、しかし非常にオリジナリティに富み、音響効果もすばらしく、現在でも充分鑑賞に耐えるクオリティだ。ある意味、ワールドミュージックやラップ、テクノといった音楽形態を当時すでに先取りしていたとも解釈できるほどの内容の濃さ。再評価されてしかるべきと思う（が無理だろうなぁ）。
