1988 Virgin release, James Horner's soundtrack to Ron Howard's 1988 fantasy epic starring Val Kilmer and Billy Barty. Eight tracks. George Lucas wrote the story & served as executive producer of the film, which was a Lucasfilm production.


Album Description

The original score to this fantastical 1998 tale starring Val Kilmer was written by James Horner, who won two Oscars for his work on this 1997 epic 'Titanic' (Best Original Dramatic Score & Best Song). Horner also composed the music to a few other Hollywood blockbusters, including 'Braveheart', 'Apollo 13', 'Field of Dreams' & others.

基本的には静と動、２つを象徴するテーマがアレンジ（繰り返し？）されていて、劇中の場面に合わせてマイナー進行になったりするだけ。けれど、そのどちらもが耳に残る良い曲です。テレビのドキュメンタリー番組とかで使われる事も結構あるから、どこかで聴いた事ある人も多いはず！
